Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto turns 59 Today

Today we are sharing a short tribute to Mr. Miyamoto.
Found this video over at the Game Overthinker's blog. The creator, YouTube user WyldStallynsGames says he wants it shared, so I thought everyone might enjoy this beautiful tribute to the father of the modern video game - Shigeru Miyamoto.

This video is in celebration of The Legend of Zelda's 25th anniversary and is titled, very appropriately, Father of My Childhood. Indeed, it was his Super Mario Bros. games on the original Nintendo Entertainment System that started me (many of us, I'm sure) on my lifelong love affair with video games. Love them or hate them, Miyamoto's games have influenced the very foundation of this industry. Lord only knows how different the world would be without this man's work, which is what got Nintendo going and which many credit for putting an end to the post-Atari era Video Game Crash. Without his work, I would not have created this website.

For all of the worlds you have created and everything you have done, thank you.
